Cinnamon Roll

Hello!

Today I am bringing you the Cinnamon Roll - This cinnamon filled roll is topped with lots of sticky frosting. And the description is just so accurate. I tried a new recipe for this, instead of using the one I already had. The truth is I was never fully happy with my recipe because the cinnamon rolls would be great while warm but after cooling down they would be dry as a desert on Summer.

In my opinion this recipe worked better and I ended up with some really amazing, fluffy and deliciously sweet cinnamon rolls 😁

Cinnamon Roll - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/2 - I am a true fan of cinnamon rolls and cinnabuns so I had to give this the second best rating I've got, which is the four stars and a half. I absolutely love cinnamon (it's such a versatile spice with such a pleasant and refreshing but also warm taste) and the combination of cinnamon and butter in a fluffy bread type cake topped with that cream cheese sweet goodness is just close to perfection.

Tomato and Pepper Omelette

This is the Tomato and Pepper Omelette - Tomato and Pepper omelette is rarely found due to its unique flavour, but I'm sure your Neopet is going to enjoy it. Not only do my neopets enjoy it but also my boyfriend. Simply because you can never go wrong with tomato and pepper 😀.

Peanut Butter and Pickle Sandwich

I've made this food last Summer and I totally forgot to post it! Which is really weird because this is one of my favourite neopian foods, even though it is a gross food 😅. But anyway, now here it is, suggested by Sophia Ruiz, from Neopets Nation, Peanut Butter and Pickle Sandwich - A weird combination, indeed! And as this sure sounds like a not so orthodox combo, it actually tasted amazing 😀 the contrast of the sour/sweet pickle with the greasy and semi-sweet peanut butter was just something I was not expecting but it really goes very well. I ended up making this sandwich more times than I would've expected. If you ever feel the vibe, go for it! The combo weirdness is similar to that of french fries and sundae, for example 😋

Peanut Butter and Pickle Sandwich - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I rated this with four stars because it does sound like a weird combination but the truth is it really tastes good. Despite being a gross food, the combo of sweet and sour goes really well together and it helps cutting on the greasy taste from the peanut butter. Feel free to try it one day 😊

Meat Feast Omelette

This is the Meat Feast Omelette - A must for anyone who just loves pepperoni, sausage and ham! I did not taste this omelette but I am pretty sure it was delicious because it only had good things in it :D It was a protein party like no other 😁 

Now, omelettes at this point pretty much need no presentations at all so all I can ask from you is to... enjoy! 💗

Meat Feast Omelette - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - This omelette was eaten by my boyfriend as lunch at work. He rated it with four stars because he really is a protein lover. Although I did find recently that in general he is an omelette lover so, if it's an omelette and it has meat in it, the more, the better! What a nerd 😂 Nah, I kidd... what would that make me??? 😆

Red Velvet Cake - Valentines Day

I know Valentine's Day was yesterday but that doesn't mean we love our Valentines less :P and, as a matter of fact, I've made this cake not for my boyfriend but for dessert at dinner, at my parents'. You know, this is also known as Love Day so...
Anyway, let me show you this amazing Red Velvet Cake - A red, heart-shaped cake is the perfect treat for Valentines Day. 
It had the cutest shape ever! The colour was vibrant and I was really happy with how this turned out! The only thing I would change in it though is the amount of cream cheese I used for the frosting. It needed more! :D
Now I must say something in my defense, when you see the rating I gave to this cake: this is usually the cake everybody askes me to bake when it's someone's birthday and I got a bit sick of it. Actually if I can go without eating it, I won't mind a bit. So, I am aware that this is a 5 stars cake, at least that's what everyone says, but baking it for everyone's birthday for the past 12 or 13 years... believe me, you would be sick too! :P

Red Velvet Cake - ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2 - Although I know this cake is worthy of five stars, I'm rating it with three and a half because I have been baking it for so long I just can't take it anymore 😅 But I must say it was a very elegant and stun looking cake 💝😏

Valentines Cookies - Valentines Day

Hello!

Here's a Valentine's recipe for your good old chocolate chip cookies. Just shape them into hearts and you're good to go 😁 These are the Valentines Cookies - A handful of fresh heart shaped chocolate chip cookies. Honestly, just like the description says, these are simple freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and that's exactly what I attempted to make. Now I must say that chocolate chip cookies are not the biggest of deals in Portugal and so, besides not having a recipe for this, it is kind of a challenge to find one that I like. Why? Because (and I'm not really sure if this is right) being mostly an USA favourite all I can find are chewy chocolate chips cookies, which not being bad are most certainly not my favourite. We don't have chewy choc chip cookies, we have crunchy, crispy, small and dry discs of choc chip goodness. And these are the ones I like 😊 so when I searched for such recipe I was thrilled to try it. I read the author's notes regarding on how to get the crispiest out of the cookies but I still failed (not miserably though 😆). I'm not giving up on the recipe just yet, I might try adding more flour to it and see how it turns out. But now, without any more delays, enjoy!

Valentines Cookies - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I'm giving these cookies five stars because although I'm not the biggest fan of a soft choc chip cookie, these were still pretty delicious! Buttery, right amount of saltiness, sweet, plenty of chocolate chips... come on, what's not to like? 😉

Heart Crepe - Valentines Day

Hello!

Valentine's Day is happening in about a week so I thought it would be cool to show you some lovey dovey neopian food. It doesn't really matter if we have a valentine or not, we can be our own valentines or we can just don't give a sh*t about it and eat pretty food :) I have mixed feelings on this day now. Although I like to make a special meal for me and my boyfriend, it is also the day I lost my cat (not the month, just the day). But it's ok, the day has 24 hours and there is plenty of time to be happy and to be sad 😕

Anyway, here's Heart Crepe - This crepe is covered in sweet frosting! - a fatty crepe that I decided to fill with raspberry jam and top with a simple icing sugar frosting made with lemon juice instead of just water. Now there was a little technical problem... I have my Americolor food coloring bottles for so long now that some have started to lose properties, namely the colour 😑. I should know better, I know, but I was really hopeful that it wasn't that bad. It turns out, it was that bad! Anyway, I could have just put that one aside and start a new frosting but the thing is, with this pandemic, I really want to avoid going out, specially to shop, AND specially to shop for stuff that I wasted ridiculously. If the colour had turned out grey or black I would have probably made a new frosting. But it was a sort of dark reddish rose and so I decided to use it. It was still a very suitable colour for this recipe.

Without further ado, here's Heart Crepe (and I hope I can make a couple more Valentine's Day's recipes). Enjoy!

Heart Crepe - ⭐⭐⭐ 1/2 - Three and a half stars for this crepe. I don't enjoy such a thick crepe that much and, I know this is on me, I was really disappointed with how runny I left the frosting (not the mention how mad I was about the colour). Other than that, I think it was a fairly nice treat, a bit too sweet for my taste, but gladly I used lemon juice to balance it all out ^_^
