Roast Chestnut Sandwich

 Hello!

Today I've made another simple food you can try during the Holidays. This is the Roast Chestnut Sandwich - Delicious creamy cheese with fresh tomatoes, lettuce and roast chestnuts! I can not say this was amazingly delicious or that it gave me an immense pleasure eating it but, it was not horrible nor unpleasant. It's just that I would rather eat the sandwich without the chestnuts and the chestnuts on the side 😜.

But I can't deny it, despite simple it was a very funny sandwich to make 😁.

Roast Chestnut Sandwich - ⭐⭐⭐ - At first I rated this with two stars because honestly the bite I took didn't taste of anything at all. This was due to the fact that the chestnut I bit into didn't have any flavour. As I continued to eat I realized the flavour changed for better but not better enough to be amazing! So it went up one star. Three stars for this sandwich.

Roast Chestnut Neggnogg

 Hello!

I have a few festive/Christmas/Holidays foods already made and I'm running against time again 😅 maybe I will be able to show them to you until New Year's Eve?! Or maybe not because on approaching New Year I would like to make a couple of foods that we could use to celebrate the event 😁

I still have video editing to make so... wish me luck. Lets hope I can show you everything before the 25th of December.

Anyway, this is Roast Chestnut Neggnogg - Rich and creamy Neggnog enhanced by the wonderful aroma and taste of roast chestnuts. Well, I don't have neggs so obviously I had to use regular eggs. And let me tell you this is by far the best eggnogg I've ever made. Deliciously tasting of chestnut and a hint of vanilla and cinnamon, this creamy goodness is a very good option as staple recipe for Fall/Winter (as long as you can find chestnuts).

In my opinion I should have left it a bit runnier than thicker but, lesson learnt, next time I will use a bit more milk ;)

Roast Chestnut Neggnogg - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ - So this has to be the yummiest eggnogg I've ever made! I love roast chestnuts... well I love chestnuts! And it's a shame they only exist this time of year but it wouldn't be special if they existed all year round, right? :) And making an already delicious treat even more delicious by adding chestnuts... I'm in heaven :D This treat could never receive less than five stars!

Christmas Quiggle Lettuce and Tomato Wrap

I've been trying to make some Neopian Christmas foods but for some reason my mojo has left me this year. I love Christmas time but this year I'm just not feeling it. To add to the situation, today completes a year since my cat Tchipi has left me. I can't say I'm the happiest person today. Sorry.

But anyway, I did manage to make some Christmas foods already, I'm just not going to make as many as I wanted to.

So this time I decided to start by the simplest ones and here it is a Christmas Quiggle Lettuce and Tomato Wrap - A delicious lunch time treat before a big Christmas dinner! which was a very wise choice considering when I made it. I was very sleepy during the afternoon so I went to bed at 5 pm and woke up almost at midnight with my belly growling. I thought that would be the perfect time to use up those shitty whole wheat wraps and make me some Neopian Christmas food :P

I love the lettuce + tomato combo but I must say this was really delicious :D could have been my hunger talking but I don't care, it was amazing :D I'm just not sure what's Christmasy about it... maybe the colours I guess... but that's ok, it was a very nice snack :D

Christmas Quiggle Lettuce and Tomato Wrap - ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - four stars for this baby boy, because I was hungry or because it just hit the spot. Either way it tasted delicious so four stars for it :D Next time I will use regular wraps because those whole wheat wraps crumble apart as fudge! In the end I was eating a complete puzzle, trying to put the pieces together XD Didn't affect the taste though :)

Spinach Feta Omelette

I'm just posting a quick "bite" before starting with some Christmas foods ;)

This is Spinach Feta Omelette - You have to eat all of this omelette or you wont get any dessert.

A very simple and easy omelette to make if you happen to like spinach and feta (which I do, for example).

It has protein and greens, how much good can it get, right? :P

Spinach Feta Omelette - ⭐⭐⭐ - this was eaten by my boyfriend and he rated it with three stars. He said it was good but it should have had more spinach and feta in it so... I guess this was not exactly a rating considering how good it was but how much of the ingredients should have had XD You know what? Sometimes I feel like I should repeat these omelettes so I could eat them :P Should I?! :)

Neopian Doughnuts

Hello!

Today I'm going to show you how I made some of the Neopian Doughnuts. I'm not going to put their description here because this was an exception recipe where I've made more than one food at a time. I mean, I used one recipe for doughnuts (very wrong decision in the choice of recipe I made) and decided to go for nine different doughnuts: lemon sprinkle, green, blue, pink, pink sprinkle, chocolate orange, purple, sugar and rainbow.

Side notes: for the pink sprinkle doughnut I used the same pink doughnut; the recipe I used was so wrong for this because it came out as a very sticky dough, which is not supposed to happen, AND this recipe is for filled doughnuts and not doughnuts with a hole, I guess that's why the doughnuts turned out really greasy and weird; and last but not least I don't know who was the genius that decided to fry doughnuts at such a high temperature. I studied a bit more after making this video for you and I came across the perfect doughnut recipe with the right temperature to fry them. Unfortunately I don't feel like making this again soon (mainly because I'm lazy when it comes to making the different glazes, sorry 😅) but if I ever do, I know what recipe to use now... maybe I should make an upgrade on my recipes...

Doughnuts - ⭐⭐⭐ / ⭐⭐⭐⭐ - I rated the Chocolate Orange Doughnut with three stars because I'm not fond of dark chocolate and I felt like it overpowered the doughnut a lot. The others receive a four stars rating because, despite the greasy dough, they were quite enjoyable. I must confess that the Lemon Sprinkle Doughnut was my favourite but that crappy dough didn't let it make to the five stars :P

Fruit and Vegetable Hand Roll

 Hello!

First of all I'm sorry for taking such a long break from Halloween until now. Life has been busy, that's all ^_^

I must confess that I haven't had the time I wished to cook more neopian foods and Christmas is a really busy time of the year for me. Plus, it's been almost a year since I lost my Tchipi (one of my cats) and it's all coming back to memory, which leaves me very sad and with zero disposition to whatever it may be. I also got my youngest cat neutered last Thursday and she's a pain during the healing process. You know, they're not supposed to jump nor run but she doesn't care at all!!! Thankfully she's a dream when it comes to give her medication. And on top of this, it's my sister's birthday tomorrow, my father's birthday on the 26th, my birthday on the 7th of December and I am always quite busy planning the cakes :D

Now, I know this is mostly a hot weather food (I actually recorded this during Summer) but I haven't been cooking any neopian foods lately and I just happened to have this video already edited and ready to go so, here you have the Fruit and Vegetable Hand Roll - Fruit, veggies, and rice all wrapped in seaweed. Yummy!

Nothing very fancy, just a vegetarian twist on your classic temaki roll.

I must say I was not very fond of this, most likely because of some of my choices (or maybe just because the combination of ingredients was not the happiest one). But I am an avid fan of temakis :) specially salmon ones ^_^

Fruit and Vegetable Hand Roll - ⭐⭐ - Two stars for this food. If the blue part of the roll was chokato, maybe this would have been better but, as you may imagine, I don't have chokato so I used blueberries. Frozen blueberries! What a mistake! I know they are always so tart!!! Anyway, this was really not my favorite thing in the world so that's why it's got two stars.

Halloween - Spooky Food - White Chocolate Ghosts

Hello!

Happy Halloween 🎃👻

The last spooky food of this year is the White Chocolate Ghosts - Now you can have your revenge on those troublesome little ghosts that are always stealing your Neopoints! I know it's a very simple one but honestly it was all I had time for (and even more honestly, if you know how temperamental chocolate is (and white chocolate shouldn't even be called chocolate) you would never call this simple 😅).

And I am also here writing this post on the run because I have a few guests in my house to celebrate Halloween (don't worry, safety measures are being held) and I have to go back there :P

There is nothing much to say about these guys, they are just plain white chocolate with candy eyes (in this case, sour skittles), but... they sure look fun on any Halloween table out there :D

White Chocolate Ghosts -  ⭐⭐⭐ - Three stars for these fellows because this is nothing more or less than white chocolate and I'm not the bigest fan of white chocolate. I eat it but it's not really my cup a' tea.
